EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WTHR) — Evansville police say that several massage parlors around town were soliciting sexual favors to customers for an additional payment.
The VIPER unit ran surveillance on six parlors, according to WFIE: First Ave Massage and Spa, Asian Massage, Beijing Spa, Lilac Massage, Royal Spa, and Sunrise Spa.
According to police, approximately 90 percent of all male customers admitted they paid $60 for an hour-long massage and an additional $40 for a sexual act.
None of hte customers were charged as police were focused on the overall target of the investigation — the massage parlors.
Undercover officers frequented the parlors to receives massages and then attempt to solicit a sexual favor for tips, WFIE reported.
One of the detectives was propositioned and touched inappropriately after paying an additional $40.
Each parlor will be monitored, according to police, and citations will be issued if they are found in violation.
