Hi guys,
I think its time I post this question to the public, preferably Singaporeans.
I am 21 years old and just graduated from a Polytechnic this year. I was schooling in one of the Madrasahs for secondary and primary. For those who dont know, MADRASAHS are muslim religious schools, unlike catholic and budhist schools, they are not under governments.
Some of my seniors are being called for NS while some are exempted for the rest of their life! lol
I did sign up for army when I was in Madrasah BUT....the school help me defer and Im not sure till when. Till now, I have not recieve any letter on medical checkups. I only receive ad letters from the army/police. All of my poly mates have already entered, the last batch that are entering is this coming November.
The question is, am I really exempted from NS? If yes, how can I confirm? Can I at least get a certificate of exemption, else I wudnt want to be fine out of nothing in the future.
P.S. I do have one MADRASAH mate who voluntarily joined the army cause he knew he was exempted.
