Eye Pillows

I have a friend who is a quilter and had her sew up some eye pillows for me and I filled them with lavender and flax seed. We're both putting them on our websites after we get some pictures. Since I haven't had aromatherapy yet in school, I was wondering if the scent of the lavender buds will be enough inside the pillow or do you think I'll need to add a drop or two of lavender essential oil?

I'd add the EO. The buds smell wonderful when they are lightly crushed, but the EO adds so much it's worth doing.

I made an eye pillow with fresh lavender buds years ago, and it still smells wonderful to this day. I am thinking that the EO may be too potent to add right away. MY :2cents:

After filling a dozen or so of them, I'm thinking the straight lavender buds will be just fine. Being a candlemaker, my nose is sometimes immune to scents. I'm thinking of making pillows with peppermint and chammomile too. I'll post a link to the pillows once I get them on my site. Thanks for the help!

I get mine at the local natural market, in the bulk section. I make yummy lavender tea with mine .
