I had a client cancel on me early this morning, so I posted on my Facebook business page that I had a spot open at 2 pm and would offer an hour at 25% off regular price. I had a client booked within an hour, and she ended up paying full price when you factor in the tip. I heart Facebook!

That is awesome!!! Was she already a fan of your page, or did she find it through a search? I have one regular client that found me on facebook before I created my page. She just searched massage therapist, and because it is listed as my profession, I showed up in the search. I still have not gained any business from placing an ad in the facebook marketplace. I am finding that it is mostly college kids selling furniture and school books. I am sure that it will pick up eventually once more people know about it. I turned my fan page into a facebook pay per click ad too. I ran it for one week with no hits.

Angela, she's a regular client! She even uses the prepaid plan, but she's a bargain shopper--whenever I post a special, she's the first to call.

I alert all my clients about facebook in my monthly e-newsletters. I don;t have a ton of fans, but lately my traffic has spiked and I'm trying to figure out where they are coming from. I don;t pay to advertise on facecbook....I'm going to go check out your page now!

Does anyone else do a paid ad to promote your page? I just started doing a pay per click ad about 2 weeks ago

I do not. But, I recently made a business page, and I was wondering how that pay-per-click add works. Mind giving some helpful hints? How much does it cost, can you get overwhelmed, was it hard to do, can you make it to where you only have a few clicks per day? That sort of thing?




BTW, here is my helpful hint about facebook itself, if you don't use it yet. Create your business page with a different e-mail than you use for creating you personal account, otherwise facebook with link the two profiles together. I thought I would get two different accounts that I could log into individually, but what happened is:

• I created a business site and had to give an e-mail. So I used my generic e-mail for things like this.
  
• Second, I created a personal site (so I could play Farmville). I have such a cute farm. I also used the same generic e-mail for this.
  
• Next, I logged into my business acct. and it took me directly to my personal account, from which I could then access the business account.

So far, I can't see that people looking at my business account can look into my personal account, but it still annoys me, since I cannot seem to seperate those accounts now. And, I don't want to erase one, as I am worried the other will get ditched in the process, since they are obviously linked now.

The facebook ads is just like setting up for google adwords, but easier. You can custumize who will see your ad. race, gender, education, employment, etc..... I pay $2 a day w/ $.75 per click bid

My personal and business sites are linked but no one can see my personal site unless they are a friend. And its much easier for me to just use one email addy and login.

The facebook ads is just like setting up for google adwords, but easier. You can custumize who will see your ad. race, gender, education, employment, etc..... I pay $2 a day w/ $.75 per click bid

I am sure there is a way to find answers about this on facebook, but I hope you don't mind me asking you, since you're so kind to post.

Can you put a limit on the clicks per day?

And, have you seen any business generated from this yet?

And, have you seen how many clicks per day you are getting currently? If so, would you mind providing me with the numbers? I am in a huge city and I am wondering if one may get too many clicks, but no actual business from something like this. Does that make sense?

I am not a big techie and a bit nervous about adding pay per click of any sort, be it facebook or ad-words.

Ah, thanks for adding this. I wasn't sure if that was how it worked or not. I have my parameters set up the same way, but you never know unless you use a different account to check something like that.

May I ask how you bring "fans" to your business site. You personally, not "you" generically.

My limit amount per day is $2. When you set up your ad it will show you how many people will see your ad. Mine is 90,000. On the dash board it will show you how many imperssions the ad has made that day and how many people clicked on the day and how much it cost. I also have a link on my site so people can become a fan of my page. I was using adwords and that was getting stail. I have gotten some new fans off of the ad. It has just been 2 months. I like it bc I can post updates without sending out emails

Well ,I don't have many fans. lol The ones I have are some of the clients that were friends on my personal site first and just my friends. I have seen a few people who are fans that I don't know.
