fighting not so smart

i just got home from 3 weeks patong,and a friend of mine who is an expat got in to a fight while i was there.

on his way home mao mak mak he almost got run over by a truck, so he stops and gave the finger. the truck stops and out came a huge german guy, my friend is an ex copper 67 years old and not affraid of anybody, but because of being mao his reflexes aren't that fast so he got KO at the first punch then he got kicked in the ribs and the face many times when out. when the girlfriend of the german guy start kicking him to my friends thai wife came to the rescue , she propably saved his life . during the fight his knee got hurt so he couldn't stand up. the police arrived and they had to come to the police station but before that they let my friend (after his wife asked many times)go to the hospital first. they both were tested for alcohol and the german guy was even more mao. at the court they got fined , my friend 4000 thb and the german 5000 thb , afterpaid the fines they were send to the tourist police there they were fined 20.000 bath.
the german already got a red stamp in his passport and was fined 100.000 in the first place but they lowered that to 20.000 also and no stamps in the passport if he pay the hospital bills , the german shite his pants he ownes a house and a bar and the second stamp would have been a black one meaning leave the country and not come back. they now both said if we weren't mao it never happend.

so the moral is even if u are mao don't get in to a fight it will cost u a lot of money and a big chance u never can come back.:rules:

So they both paid fines in court for fighting AND then had to pay the Tourist Police too? What's that all about?

I suppose if the truck driver had been Thai only your friend would have been fined.

Even 67 yr olds have been known to have bad tempers! Being mao doesn't help, either. I had an uncle, though, who at 75 yrs old, 5'7" tall(170 cm?) and 130 lbs(60kgs), could still whip a man half his age and twice his weight. And, sometimes did.

Pound for pound, one of the best streetfighters who ever lived. He was well known in his part of town, and the stories about him were legendary. Had a sharper tongue than any man I've ever met, and really enjoyed needling people. That caused many a fight, and, he never met a fight he didn't like. His nose was made of hard silicone, as he had it broken so many times, that finally they couldn't put it back together again and just replaced it with silicone. Yet he always had a big smile on his face, and a fire in his eyes. He was still a handsome old man, and had a lot of younger GFs, as he always loved the ladies, and they seemed fascinated by him.

Got in many fights in LOS, and credits the Thais with being tough fighters. Before I ever went to LOS, I remember him telling me, "Watch out for those Thais, when a good Thai fighter lands a solid kick, it's like getting hit by a baseball bat!"

I really try and stay away from making generalizations on nationalities, but damn me if they are not a blunt / abrasive lot (and big too !!) I wondered it it had something to do with the type of russians that afford to travel on long distance vacations ??

Had 2 scenes I have witnessed in last few months.. 2 Giant gorillas of guys bullying around in a 7/11 (tried to push in the queue but thier mistake was it was in front of me) and a family where this brutal Russian wife was near shouting this poor carrefore shop girl.. Full on in the girls face, finger poking chest etc over a lack of understanding and language.. You could see this little Thai bird was a blink away from floods of tears.
