i have my 1st treatments on sunday (also tasters) and i am really nervous. I really hope all my clients will enjoy it, like i am sure yrs did!

Sorry for not replying sooner but I had a migraine over the weekend.

I really enjoyed my massage taster evening which I did on Thursday evening.

I had 6 people who attended. Firstly I did a relaxation tape which lasted about 13 minutes. I then gave each of them an information pack that I had made up which contained info on massage/stress/a stress questionnaire/tips to relax and breathing tecqniques to relieve stress. I also enclosed a poem about putting things off for another day and some vouchers and business cards etc.

Everyone really seemed to enjoy the evening and some said they want to book another taster evening and others will ring for a full massage.

I was quite nervous when I first started talking but my sister was involved too so it was not that bad.

I also took along some books on massage and aromatherapy etc that they could look at whilst I was massaging upstairs.

I am really proud of myself as I never thought I would be able to do it. I can't wait for the next one.

I was not sure about the info packages at first as I thought maybe I had put too much work in but they were all very glad of them and were keen to take them home. I did not make a great deal of money about 42 pounds but I also had some wheatbags to sell. They did ask if next time I could take some blends so that they could buy them.

One thing I was not sure about was a girl who thought she may be pregnant but would not find out for another few days. However she was happy to have a shoulder and neck massage and really enjoyed it.

Anyway I will stop boring you all now but thanks for all your encouragement and advice and I am sure I will be back asking again.

Sounds like you go it right and the next one will be easier as your confidence has grown

Pregnancy and massage go together very well as long as there are no complications, just go easy on the abdominals and avoid essential oils in the first trimester, the rest is down to common sense, it is a very enjoyable experience looking after pregnant ladies during their many changes during pregnancy and the baby usually responds towards the end

Well done! Yo sound lile you structured the evening really well. I want to start doing these type of evenings as well for Reflexology but I'm worried about talking to groups. Did you speak to your group as a whole much Rose, or just do a quick intro?
