Hi all
Just an update on my firefighter demo and talk. I took some Rescue Remedy just to calm myself thanks to Hallos advice! It did the trick! So thank you for that!
But the evening did not start as planned. I drove into the car park and I banged my car. My Silver Citroen Picasso 'Mille'! IN FRONT OF 4 OF THE FIREFIGHTERS!!!! How embarrassing. I think I have hurt my hip from the jolt! But I laugh in the face of pain when 4 firefighters rescued me!!

Anyway back to the story!
It did not go to plan as I wanted to put up posters that I have..........they wanted to get 'stuck in' in straight away! I said well shall I introduce myself first !!!! So I did that and explained what IHM and Reflex was all about - the origins etc, handed out the posters so they could see in detail the reflexes and boy it went down fantastically. The reflex seemed to be the biggie. It was more popular than the IHM which is strange for me as I have more clients for IHM that are male and more reflex that are female!
There were 11 altogether and 2 kept popping in and out of the room/hall. So 9 were there permanently including one of the bosses!
The idea was to do a quick demo on IHM and a quick demo on Reflex and one on Holistic Facials too.
In actual fact the holistic facials was not even mentioned they did not seem interested. I mentioned it but they just seemed more interested/fascinated with reflex!!
I worked on 3 for Reflex and 1 for IHM.!! Another guy got his feet out ready and did not want me to go near them!!! 2 were really shy and then another boss came in and said he had neck problems and could he call me so him and his wife could have treatment. The one guy that had the first reflex session was intrigued and wants a pamper party for his wife! They all took leaflets and my postcards and they even photocopied my posters so some of them could work on their wifes/partners at home!! How wonderful!! They asked me if I would come back to demo to the other watches on shift! I will contact the Occupational Health department at the Fire HQ and sort it out !!
So after feeling a little apprehensive it went swimmingly - and I bashed the car! But I think I have a few potential clients there waiting in the wings!
So if in doubt about doing a demo - i did mine for free - just do it!!
If nothing comes of it- it was fun and it was an experience and now I can say I did it so I won't have a fear of a crowd in future - hopefully!!
