First Aid?

Hi

I am setting up as a mobile therapist and nail technician. Do I need to be a registered first aider in order to do this does anyone know?

If so, does anyone know where I can get onto a first aid course and how much it costs?

I don't know that it's necessary - it would be in the terms of your insurance I guess. I do think it's advisable. I did a three year certificate course the other day - it cost £60 and it was just one day. Look up the British Red Cross, or just google first aid with your town's name and see what comes up.

If you do Sports or Remedial Massage it is usually a requirement of the course that you are qualified, but probably not in your case. I would recommend it though as you never know what you might come across

I did a 4 day course which was subsidised by the local council a few years back - it cost me about £10 then - in fact I have to do it again next year.

Hi,

I found it for myself - I'm trying to remember how I found it - I think I visited [link=http://www.tap.co.uk/]http://www.tap.co.uk[/link] - I'll have to check that link and typed in First Aid Courses and it came up with a load in my area.
I had to have first aid to do my Sports and Remedial Massage course and this was a First Aid at Work course that fitted the bill. I have to renew the training in April 2007.

If the link is wrong I'll try and remember the correct address - it may only be our region as well.
