First night back in Patong

Actually i find the guys reporting to be fairly accurate . After spending a lot of time in Patts and BKK is quite difficult to find a buzz in Patong at the moment imo....

Arrived in Patong yesterday (3 June 2011), from Pattaya and before that was in Bangkok.

Had a few beers in Soi Seadragon and Soi Gonzo, then tried Green Dragon (corner Soi Seadragon/Bangla Road). The coyote dancers were wearing combat trousers and awful footwear, too much of a tomboy look for my liking. Couldn't decide if any of the ladies were attractive because the oufit was so off putting.

Do other guys really find this style of outfit appealing? Did nothing for me whatsover, can only think the theme is aimed at younger blokes. The music was sh*te as well. There were some attractive ladies here on my previous trip back in February, including some dancers I had also seen in Suzie Wong and Devil's Playground.

Then went to Devil's Playground urgently needing the toilet. Should have gone for a p*ss before leaving Green Dragon but didn't fancy my hand being stamped like before. Inside Devil's Playground ordered a beer, paid, had a few sips, then enquired if the toilets were upstairs. Outside! I was told. Never come across an a-gogo without their own toilets anywhere before. Drank a bit more of my beer because not happy about having to go outside. Having failed to attract the attention of the nearest waitress, I told someone on my way out where I was going. Came back and my beer had been cleared away, asked the waitress, she just replied "I thought you go home". The management really out to have some sort of eforum.xxxging system for your beer, so the waitresses know you come will back. Pity I had to leave so soon, there were some really nice looking ladies in Devil's Playground.

None of the ladies I was hoping to see from previous visits, were in their bars last night. Maybe I will be more lucky tonight. I was told by one of the bar owners in Soi Seadragon that one of my previous ladies is coming back to work tonight. Having not seen her for maybe 18 months or 2 years, how likely is that she should come back to work the day after I arrive?

Must say I was more than a little underwhelmed by the selection of available ladies in Patong, compared with Bangkok and Pattaya. I need to give it more time, but maybe my love affair with Phuket dating from 1995 is over. Went back to my room alone and disappointed, going for a massage this afternoon to perk things up.

Firstly I didn't state it was inaccurate in anyway, as its his tour report so I assume he is telling the truth, so its accurate for him.

The buzz is created by the individual, not by any one of the destinations, if you do not have that inside you its not there for that night.

I think its all relative we had a couple of good nights in Tong but not major in comparison to other places. We even concluded our nights out in khon kaen were some of the best and well ahead of Tong

Suppose its where we are in relation to how patts bkk & even more thai orientated places fit with our needs and how disappointingly Tong doesnt........I wont even start on the droves of ozzie hen parties & snap shot photo experiment on bangla where all we saw was the fat shazza & stacy element & with rarely a TG to be found it was heartbreaking

i am no bangla apologist....not even that fond myself...for me its a place to have a drink and a bit of fun with mates who are in town visiting.....I have no great expectations of it

The toilets upstairs in Devil's playground are closed at the moment, just a couple of days ago when they were still open both booth were out of service and totally jammed. No paper or dryer for washing hands also, had to use the f%&$ing curtains. Go to the Soi Eric toilets, they are at the end of Soi Eric, they are spotless and the guys over there are crazy about mopping all the time. Cost 10 THB but well worth it imo :great:

I think this has been covered plenty Nels....................but in a nutshell I dont want to see fat farang women in droves and I want to see plenty TG's who are pleasing on the eye. The experience of last week for me the proportions are not favourable. Maybe it was just a bad week with a few days of severely wet weather which may have kept the TG's in their rooms and made the existence of Shazza & Tracy all the more evident

I will say the one exception was Soi Tiger, albeit it was the hotbed of ozzie hen and seforum.xxx parties; the quality and volume of TG's in there was very good

no I don't think you are wrong...the Bangla strip has been overrun by fat western women...many of whom are from AUS (but not all)...and many of whom have equally as obnoxious male partners...used to be mostly Brits...now its mostly Aussies....to me bangla has always been the parading strip of the holiday makers...anyone who actually wants to partake needs to get into the sois...you did come in the middle of a very low part of low season but that too has always been part and parcel of Phuket....its way more seasonal than Patts or BKK

anyway I'm off to BKK and Patts in a few days myself so I will drop my thoughts in here somewhere
