"Fishing" in Thailand?

Where are some good fishing locations in Thailand? Have got a 7 day leave pass from she who must be obeyed!!

Ideally looking for a location where the night life is really good too. To be honest the fishing is secondary but at least I need to park myself where fish are or it might look at tad "fishy" if ya get my drift.

Where in Thailand can you get the best of both worlds, bar girls and fishing!

If you mean boat fishing / sport fishing Phuket is your ticket..

Met one of my buddies the other day who is running quite serious day trips out.. reasonable rates too compared to other serious tours..

I went to samui,thailand in october ...told everyone for fishing and diving haha..
and o damn i forgot to take pictures..i said when i got back:embrassed
haha be back in march and now i DO want to go fishing.
wonder if i can just go fish of the reef/rocks without boat there...please let me know if you have some info

Hello, take alook at this webpage that have the tidetables and shows what dates the moon is full. try to go at the fullmoonday or nearby days. I think defenatly you have alot greater chance to have a good fishing that way.

At the bottom of the page you can browse diffrent months depending when you are going there but for an example now in march the moon is full at march 14.

I did go on fishing in January 5 .. and it was just past newmoon and the fishing was almost zero.....

not much of a fisherman,but i do enjoy the whole aspect.......relaxing, havin a drink etc....(depends on how many fish your catching of course).
A lot of my mates are keen fisherman so i tend to go along for the day with em......
We had a brilliant day out in Chang mai lake fishing for bubble's(cat fish).

Fishing off Pattaya and landing a 56k sailfin fish
from the boat sea Hunter. took us 50 minutes to land it! was a really good day, early start though like 6.30 i think. started off really slow as you can see by the first pic, was still fun though. i was so tiered at the end of it, it's prob the only time in LOS i never went out at night because i was so tiered i fell asleep till the next morning (alone) which is another recored. 55555555. hope you like the pics think it's the first time i've posted pics, hope they come out alright.
