Freedom of Choice

Having visited several MPs in the Toronto area over the past year, I am astonished by the difficulty of choosing a desirable MPA. The way in which the MP businesses are operated in these parts leaves clients with less choice than in other areas of the world.

For example, in Spain there are the roadside Clubs. You drive along a 2 or 4 lane highway just outside most population centers, and invariably you will see a neon sign (usually with the word "Club" prominent) outside a building. Euphemistically called "night clubs", these places are brothels with SPs from the world over. A customer can go in, is usually required to purchase a drink for the privilege, and interact (talk if you have a language in common or otherwise gesture) with the SPs one at a time, until he finds one he likes. If you don't find anyone you like, you move on. With this system to vet SPs, I can have a high quality experience with 7 or 8 out of 10 new SPs. The only difficulty is being able to say "no" to an SP you have started talking to if you are not interested in her; that can be uncomfortable sometimes.

As another example, in the Netherlands, most cities have walking through mall style brothels in designated streets. A customer can walk by the windows until he has seen an SP he finds appealing, then spend a moment at her door speaking with her before making his service purchase decision. Not as conducive to quality experiences as the Spanish approach, nonetheless you can, over half the times, have a decent enough time that you don't walk out wondering why you do this.

Compare to the MP scene here in Toronto. You do your research on massageplanet.net.ca. But you are reading other people's words voicing their own opinions. And if a (2 dimensional) picture is worth a thousand words, then a short coversation with a (3 dimensional) potential SP must be worth a million. I don't speak Spanish, but I doubt that Madrid has a merb.es as there is little need for it.

If you don't read massageplanet.net.ca (and many MPs are not even mentioned on massageplanet.net.ca) then you walk into an MP cold, you get taken to a room, and get shown the available MPAs without any opportunity to see if you click with her. Then you need to make your choice. Sometimes you don't even get a viewing. I have walked into an MP, seen an SP that I find attractive in the lounge area, been taken to a room, then told that it is another SP's "turn" so I can't be serviced by the one that appeals to me.

All this amounts to a frustrating lack of Freedom of Choice around here. I am curious what other hobbiests thoughts are on this topic and if they have any ideas. Don't suggest that I move to Spain. I am not looking for that sort of insult here.

You make a good point about counting our blessings as compared to the Americans. It is a wasteland down there.

I too wish for legal clubs here. I am as apolitical as they come, but I tell you, if there was a politician that campaigned on a revoke the "bawdy house law" platform, I would canvass for him.

If you get the chance, take a holiday in Spain. Prices have gone up a bit since the Euro, but it remains a beautiful thing.

The prices vary from around $CDN 60 for a half hour to maybe $CDN 100, depending upon exchange rate and the club. These prices are for full service, complete. Rarely do I offer a tip, and when I do, it comes as a surprise to the SP. A few places are more expensive, but I don't see any difference in quality with price: the SPs are normally as nice in a relatively inexpensive place as in an expensive one. I would rather pay less, so I avoid the expensive clubs. You probably don't want to go into some of the more down and out places, though.

To find them is easy. Just get on a highway. They appear pretty frequently. Just look for the word CLUB in neon. Or better, print out and take with you a copy of the listing on worldsexguide.org

The list is from 1997, so is a little bit old and it is in Spanish. But as of last March, it was still pretty accurate and quite useful. The ratings on the list describe the cleanliness of the club, but don't correlate that well with price or quality of SP, as far as I can tell.

I never felt threatened at all in any of these places. And as a tourist, well, many of these establishments are near the tourist destinations along the Mediterranean. I have always gone in with my buddy, but more because I like traveling with the guy than for safety.

The only reason that I suggested above that you may not want to go in some of the more down and out places is that the SPs usually are not very nice in them. But you never know where you might find a gem.

I have to say, that thinking about Spain has lifted my spirits, after yesterday's less than perfect service that prompted my first post.

Nothing will improve if we don't tell them we want things changed. Canadian politicians won't make changes until they think they they have no choice but to make changes. Write a letter to Martin Cauchon, the Minister of Justice, and tell him how hypocritical and possibly corrupt the situation in Canada has become.

No politician wants to appear to be supporting a corrupt system. That's the main reason why most of Australia changed their laws that were like Canada's, and they now have legal brothels. If they can do it, maybe we can too.

Looks like Thailand also has a corrupt system.
