Hi,
I have just moved to Asia after going to Phuket for 2 weeks a year. I see my normal hotel situation unsuitable for my regular visits now - usually too expensive, poor value for money, and 3,000 baht a night for a guest!! Don't know justification for such charges, so seek learned advice on good hotels/guest houses that have more relaxed policies to new found guests. No charge or small charge is ok. I only need a clean, quiet, well performing AC, room with private bathroom.

Please advise.
