I qualified in reflexology Nov 07 and although work full time, treat clients from my home when they request. I also try and attend other reflexologists for a treatment which I find both beneficial to my health but also see it as part of CPD.
I am really interested in what others think of the following:
I had a session done beg of March and the first observation was a defined line on both soles of feet in the middle of chest/lung area. When asked if I had ever suffered by probs associated with this area I replied no, never.
However, since 23 March I have been off work with a flu/virus which has developed into a chest infection !!!!. So, it's lasted almost one month.
I must admit I initially came away from the session thinking how the therapist may have been wrong (yet I realise we can pick up on imbalances which are past/present & future) but now I believe she noticed an imbalance as a future one. Thinking of this scenario, is there anything any of you think I could/should have done on hearing this to in any way possibly avoid this illness as at beg March as I know I physically felt ab fine and can't see that a visit to the doctor at this stage would have helped. Also how can we as therapists advise our clients when this future scenario re imbalances we see to our client, as they like me will think, "well what do you suggest I do"
I wish to stress that I keep very good health and this has been my first illness in over 5 years.
As this is my first thread to the forum, I'm a wee bit puzzled.
