Gardening newbie needs help with growing garlic! - Shoots drooping?

Hi I've been growing garlic, the shoots had been growing well, until a few weeks ago it rained non-stop and the shoots grew tall and started to droop around instead of shooting up firmly. What can I do??

Garlic can be prone to rotting if the soil is continuously wet. Gently dig around where the bulb is and have a peek. If it's all looking a bit dark and murky I don't think you can do anything about it except start again next season. However, when garlic is ready to harvest, the leaves become straggly and brown, so could it be this? Once again, have a little dig and see what's going on underground.
