Gelert recliners: any good as reflexology chairs?

Hello, I need to buy a new chair (had second-hand one which needs to be replaced). Someone suggested that I look at the Gelert Recliners as they thought they were good, and they were significantly less expensive than Lafuma.
Would be grateful for any feedback on the Gelerts if anyone has used one.

these look like the lafuma chairs that are padded.

I bought mine years ago from a caravan shop for approx £100 and its still going strong.

Very comfortable, reclines perfectly and its great because you can use any chair to sit on yourself as the feet are at the right height.

look out for the bags you can get to go with them, they are a godsend as they protect your chair and also help to carry them as theres a strap that goes over your shoulder but you can also support it by your hip.

I usually carry mine and my little bag of towels etc and still have a free hand.

Not heard of the make you have quoted but check out the lafumas and compare them. The padded one is very comfortable.

I've also seen similar in Argos for a lot less but they are made of a mesh type material and don't know how comfy they are.

I bought the Gelert yesterday and I love it! It's very comfortable and light, also very easy to recline etc. Now I just need to get my 7 year old out of it and I can actually use it.

Mine came today and it is lovely! Very comfy. Just need a carry bag for it now but don't think the lafuma ones will fit. They seem a bit narrower than the gelert chairs..?

Hi Pheonix, they're lovely aren't they! I also bought a Gelert stool and it was delivered yesterday-works really well.
If you find a bag I'd love to hear; I am looking into them too but haven't had the time to look too much.

Oh didn't see the stools? Is it portable? Do you have a link for it please

I have a saddle stool for at home but it is too bulky to transport for mobile treatments x

Edit to add, I have started another thread regards carry bags, so fingers crossed someone can help us.

Hi Everyone

A few of my students have brought the Gelert chair - while it is a very strong chair, it doesn't lift the clients feet quite as high as a lafuma. All my students have ended up having to make blocks to fit underneath the front bar of the chair to give that bit of extra lift, as they had to stoop to work on clients.

Lafuma is still the best, in by opinion.
