gentel touch

hi there
have just read the thread below on gentel touch reflexology and wondered if i could ask the people who have done it some questions?

i really want to book this course for next year (unfortunalty the course only runs over a weekend), can i ask, how have you found giving this treatment, i ask because i have only been doing reflexology for 3 years and my thumbs are becoming really painful after a treatment, i have heard that this lighter touch is better for the therpaist. also, how have your clients adapted to this treatment, did they like it or prefer the harder touch? do you think that you give a better treatmetn with this way?

i am very very interested in this course but spending alot of money (need to stay in hotels aswell which makes it a lot of money) would love to get some views of others on it.

I trained with Sue Ricks in the Gentle Touch method and just love it, and it's wonderful profound effects on my clients. I'm afraid that I cannot compare it directly to other methods as it is all I have done, but I do not have trouble with my thumbs, and all my clients looooove the treatment and its benefits.

Sue is an amazing teacher and really knows her stuff, and knows how to pass her huge amount of knowledge on to others in a thoroughly enjoyable way. If you do the course I can guarantee you will love it. I know there have been other threads on this subject before so maybe it is worth looking these up too. I trained with Sue Ricks in 2004 and really love using the gentle touch technique. Since I qualified I have been able to compare with other methods using harder pressure, and it seems that the extra vibrations thatI pick up through using a really light touch really add something to the treatment, and actually makes it easier for me to pick up imbalances. I would really recommend it! Also I have just attended a reiki1course with Sue. Although it meant giving up a weekend, the whole experience ended up feeling like a treat to myself. As a teacher I think she is great - so knowledgable and infectious in her enthusiasm for the subjects taught. Well worth the time and money!
