The Mesquite Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting to welcome Gentle Hands of Faith Professional Massage Therapy to Mesquite on Thursday, Jan. 16.
Faith Davis, licensed massage therapist and owner of Gentle Hands of Faith, joked, “Massage drunk is the best kind of drunk to be.”
For 18 years, Davis’ passion has been directed at relaxation. She has a desire for people to visit her business to find tranquility, forget about the world and take care of themselves mentally and physically. She welcomed her father to the event and mentioned it was his birthday. He had traveled to be there, and she was appreciative of his support. She also mentioned many others who supported her and made this dream come true.
Ace Hardware’s Ladies’ Night was Davis’ first event in Mesquite, about a year ago. There, she gained some of her first clients. Shortly after that, her friend Debbie Wilde told her there was an available spot next to Wilde’s own business. That was in December of 2024, and Davis opened her business with a ribbon cutting a year later.
“I am proud of that,” said Davis.
Gentle Hands of Faith is all about women. It is owned by a woman and is centered around helping women. Davis desires to assist other women in their goals of entrepreneurial projects. While visiting her for a massage, people can also shop for gifts for themselves and others. The offerings include jewelry, bath bombs, steamers, art and other items made by female clients and Davis. Gift cards are also available for purchase.
Davis started out as a traveling therapist before creating this permanent space to provide massage therapy to clients. She is open to traveling to serve those located in the Overton and Logandale areas. All services are by appointment only.
The ribbon-cutting celebration was a fun-filled event that included the Mesquite Showgirls, multiple drawings and prizes and chances to win massage treatments. Guests were given coupons for cake, cookies, Italian ice from Chubbys and fresh chips from The Corn Dog truck.
Visit Gentle Hands of Faith Monday through Friday by appointment only at 114 N. Sandhill Blvd., Suite D. Services offered include Swedish massage, lypossage, lymphatic drainage, hot stone treatments, couples massage and body scrubs.
Appointments can be made by calling (702) 410-4190 or visit www.gentlehandsoffaith.com.
