Well oddly enough I've even bought a few nice music CDs from the dollar store too. LOLIt's a chance of course, you have to buy one and listen to it yourself first... but they can make thoughtful items to include in your gift baskets. In addition, some musicians with shall we say, private labels, may sell their CDs wholesale (they're more than a dollar though. LOL). I know a friend of mine does. And this time of year Target has a nice selection of $1 items as well... foot cream, exfoliating gloves, bath sponges, gift bags, and other assorted items. If you put your mind to it... I think you can come up with lots of different gift basket ideas.Give them cute names maybe? "Hush Puppies" Basket - For the friend who's on their feet all day.... "Are your dogs barking?" (tired feet)Peppermint foot scrub, peppermint lotion, pumice stone or foot file, perhaps even a little pack of epsom or sea salts scented with peppermint or other essential oils to soak their feet in... and to top it all off... a 1/2 hr gift certificate to massage away all the pain in those poor tired feet. "Renewal" Basket - a salt or sugar scrub perhaps with an energizing scent, exfoliating gloves for the whole body, an ultra rich hand cream to be worn under soft cotton gloves, and a 1 hour aromatherapy massage gift certificate."Quiet Moment" Basket - As someone has mentioned, tea or cocoa, a cool mug, a nice relaxing CD, a soothing lavender scented candle...maybe even one of those "Sinus" type eye masks (heat or cool) ... and of course a datebook as someone mentioned to encourage the person who gets the gift to take care of themselves more often. (And you'd want to include a 1 or 1.5 hour gift certificate with that basket I would think.)Anyway, Sorry to have bothered you all with my ramblings. :-[ I was just trying to get your mind going with ideas... I love to brainstorm. :-X
