Girls, can you help me? Would this be a cute gift idea for a nice online chat friend?

have a nexopia account (Canadian myspace type of thing) where I have been chatting with a really nice girl for a few months. Almost 2000 messages sent back and forth between us.. She is in Ottawa and I am in Winnipeg. We have added eachother on facebook and email. For Canada Day I thought that it would be a nice gesture to send her an online Starbucks card to her email as a gift. She told me that she had to work Canada Day, so I thought I would help brighten her day.

I know this would be a nice thing to do..but since we have never actually met before, would it come across as weird or creepy? Or would she be pleased and happy to get it? Would it be cute? Lol I was planning on just giving her a $10-$15 card, so nothing overly excessive or shocking!

How would you feel if you got something like this?

As it's just a small gift card for a coffee shop, I see nothing wrong with it.
It's not as if it's a gift-card to a special interests store or anything.

It seems very sweet and thoughtful, and I for one would probably be flattered more than anything that someone I chat with so often but I have never met is so thoughful of me to do such a thing to try to cheer me up.

In my opinion, go for it!
