This is a rather bizzare site in that so many say that they love Phuket but keep bringing up Pattaya.
After years of going to Pattaya I am due in Phuket for a week in two weeks time.
Please! For a person who loves the nightlife, mongering and raunch of Pattaya will someone please tell me why I should love Phuket.

I am coming here with an open mind but I will certainly leave early if it is not up to expectations. The low cost of accommodation and the user friendly state of Pattaya will make it a very little extra cost to my holiday.

Please, tell me where I should go, what keeps you coming back, why you love the place and what makes the place better and different.

If you are just looking for nightlife, mongering, and raunch, then why not stay in Pattaya? If you are looking for more than that, try Phuket!

I agree. Phuket is more relaxed, the beach is better, in general it is less hectic. If you are in 100% nightlife, then maybe it is not worth changing to Phuket. You also some nightlife, but not on the same scale, like some gogo's, but not 65. Beerbars, but not 5000.

I'm coming to the end of my week in Pattaya and am looking forward to leaving and getting to Patong. I don't think I'll come back. There are very many more bar and gogos here and lots of girls, but quantity is no substitute for quality. Patong, I found, has greater perceneforum.xxxe of pretty girls per square metre, friendlier bars (why do the PTY BGs sit mostly on the opposite side of the bar to the customers?), better food and more laid-back atmosphere.

Even the PTY dive operations seem relatively indifferent - maybe they've had a good season post-tsunami and don't feel they have to try too hard..?

I was there in january and i thought there was a good selection of decent girls and i'm really picky............maybe it is off-season.
Although i heard patong was best then bangkok and when the girls can't get any work there they go to pattaya, something about the men just don't give a shit who they barfine in pattaya.Maybe too mao or bad eyesight i don't know.
