Glutton adds

shoot - I messed up the title of that last post - shoulda read "Glutton gets his due". whatever. The important thing I left out is that this pair really teamed to (try to) roll me - they threatened to really make a big scene and BOTH accuse me of refusing to pay for services rendered. (In other words its not just "he said vs. she said" but that there are two witnesses both claiming I stiffed them (pun not necessarily intended).

In retrospect two things saved me: First, I said the right thing when I confidently claimed I was a lawyer. It gave them pause. Second, the smaller girl was a bit green - I think she kind of liked me a little and felt ashamed to lie - especially about how the relatively fun encounter turned ugly. I can imagine her turning bitter fast - and improving her extortion chops. I was lucky and I think they only stole $20 from my wallet.
