Without knowing the whole story, if you see the girls pay their . . . "boss" (for complete lack of a better word, you know what I mean) . . . then I think that's pretty low.

I would prefer that when I give the girl the money, she either leaves in on a table or something, or leaves the room to put it somewhere, wherever that may be. I do not want to see the money change hands more than once (from me to her).

The difference between a pimp and an agency is the lady chooses the agency. I am assuming they can leave anytime they like. The pimp on the other hand feels he owns the lady.

Agencies take a cut, to cover costs like advertising, booking rooms, phone lines, and of course turning a profit... but 50% is stupid high.

How do you define, exploitative?

There are some well known, so-called first tier agencies, run by women, that are true pimps.
They use coercion, intimidation, threats and exploitation to have the SP remain with the agency and do the call that they have been sent to. There is no overt violence but there is manipulation.

It is not about the split of the money, it is about the coercive means used to get the lady to the call.

The average John will not know what is going on behind the scenes between the lady and the agency. On the other hand, there are some agencies that are upfront with the lady so that an informed choice can be made and the option to leave is always open with no strings attached. It is the subtle difference in the nature of the relationship, not the money, that is key.

Of course, if the agency owner is taking 60% of the money or more, then it is a strong indicia of an exploitative relationship.

It is a great reason to make prostitution completely legal in every aspect, for ladies that are independents.

Legalizing prostitution through agencies is a whole other kettle of fish. For example this weeks police raid at Club De Lotto and the charges of human trafficking make it clear that legalizing prostitution as an industry, distinct from that of independents, is something that society does not need.

50% is normal for some agencies. I wouldn't consider it to be good.

Granted, I am not intimately familiar with the detailed arrangements that each agency makes with the girls, but the best agency deal that I know of is 35%. I believe that the bigger, more reputable agencies offer the better deals, but are a little more picky about the girls they take on. Some of the smaller agencies take much bigger cuts and have been known to make up the rules as they go, to suit their needs. This is why you see a bigger turn over at some agencies.

Unfortunately, many of the girls that get into the industry are not well enough informed to know when they're getting a bad deal. And, some of the agencies like it that way so that they can maximize their profits from those girls. There are some agencies that I will no longer use because of this and it's one of the reasons that I try to see mostly indys.

It would be interesting to see the agencies publicly post their standard arrangements, but I doubt that would ever happen.

Excellent topic for discussion. I don't know what the average "cut" is for the Agency but in the grand scheme of things, the agency provides the incall, supplies and booking services, but most importantly, the security....well, in a perfect world, this would be the expectation.

I believe an Agency owner should mentor a new comer or have one of the veterans help her along. I can't imagine what a noob goes through, nervously waiting for her first client. But then there are the bad Agencies (of who you will never see on my TDL). They treat the girls like machines and if the girl is a star, the get the ropes out and form an assembly line...these are the pimps and they disgust me.

The bottom line is, the reputable Agencies will be up front about their fees and expectations; it's those that have all these hidden costs, and adhoc rules that are the real spoilers of this biz and detriment to the ladies.

I will, gladly. At the regular agency rate, all the ladies here receive a minimum $160/hour and $100/half. NO FEES NOR FINES. EVER. In fact I even pay the ladies for no shows. And if a gal is late or can't make the appointment? (Rarely happens) they are never out of pocket even though I make concessions to the client. It is always out of mine. Crazy, I know.

I lease multiple luxury suites ($8-10K/month minimum) - plus supplies, (+plus wine/beer) advertising, huge cell/phone bills, I always pay for their photos, no charge for outcall driver fees etc, etc, adds up to a LOT of money before I can even buy myself a cup of coffee.

I answer the phones from 9am to 9pm+, and somewhere in that time or after (most often after), I answer pm's and emails, plus spend hours putting up new advertising... then I clean the suites to the meticulous condition you guys are accustomed to.

Thus you have the real deal; a true behind-the-scenes account from one agency.
