good massage therapy college?

Does anyone know a really great school to go to for getting a degree for massage therapy? I was thinking Swedish Institute or Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City, but didn't really check many other places and such.

I went to Kaplan (on ground not online) and I really liked it. They had actual instructors who were orthopedic surgeons, and chiropractors that taught our health classes and yes at Kaplan you learn a lot about health. Their massage instructors have received awards and merits. Some have traveled out of the country to learn new modalities to bring back. Their professors and instructors are really well screened and have experience.
I also liked Kaplan because they have a Career Placement Service that actually work with you until you land a job.
Financial Aid was great as well and worked with you in every situation possible. I also liked the fact they have a "default" lady that works there for the students and graduates who have a hard time paying back a loan. So, instead of you calling some 800 number and pressing 1 then 3 and then 4 and then you are put on hold forever they have direct lines and you are place on speaker phone with the financial aid loan holder, the default lady verifies I am there and you fill out a paper and it is faxed over ASP and your loan is placed in forbearance or default. I love that!!!

But, In the Fall I am getting my Masters degree in Massage Therapy. That is how much I love my career and want to take it to new heights. It is an awesome and well known massage school in Chicago. It is called the Soma Institute The National School of Clinical Massage Therapy. I was originally going to go there but we moved and I wasn't ready to go back downtown Chicago. Now I am ready and eager to go. Even though Kaplan was/is an excellent School, I am eager to learn more modalities at Soma.

Please be aware that there aren't supposed to be too many jobs for the massage therapist these days especially with so many schools offering that course of study. If you're still interested in the field, please forgo those private overpriced for-profit tech schools and instead consider the more affordable **county vo-tech school or community college** as long as the program is accredited within the industry. (Both of the schools that you'd mentioned seem like for-profit tech schools especially if the school would first like personal information from prospective students (customers before getting more information including tuition prices.)

With schooling, please also steer clear of those online, for-profit schools (though may be 'accredited' and have 'brick and mortar' buildings) such as penn foster, ashworth, devry, ITT tech, kaplan, everest, sanford brown, argosy, walden, brown mackie, ashford, stratford career, remington, high tech, aiu, grand canyon, ashwood, colorado tech and others as they are merely out to 'make a profit' (and course credits may NOT transfer to other schools): http://www.ripoffreport.com and can type into search.
