It was the day after Granny's birthday and her three grandsons
James, Jerry, and Kenny were visiting her.
They had all given her birthday gifts the previous day.
The three grandsons were very competitive.
Each of them thought they had given Granny the perfect birthday gift.
James spoke up. "I bought Granny a brand new car, so I'm sure she likes my gift the best."
Then Jerry shook his head and said, "Well, I bought Granny a brand new house.
What could be a better gift than that? I'm positive that she likes my gift the best."
Then Kenny laughed and said, "You're both wrong. I got Granny the greatest gift of all.
I bought her a parrot that can recite the entire Bible. It was trained by monks for 15 years. She can ask it any question from the Bible and it will know the answer.
I'm sure she loves my gift best of all!"
James said, "Well let's just ask her and find out once and for all which gift was the best.
Hey Granny, which gift did you like the best?"
Granny replied, "Well, they were all very nice gifts. However, James' gift is just too big.
I could never keep a house that size clean. And Jerry, the car is lovely,
but it hurts my back to get in and out of it. So I would have to say that Kenny's gift was the best.
That chicken was delicious!"
