I have a Toshiba Satellite L300 07R laptop. I use it for mainly just normal computer stuff but I do have a few games I like to play on it. Problem is, my laptop is definitely not prime gaming computer technology so these games lag a lot on it.
I was wondering what the best solution would be. I thought maybe more RAM, but because my computer uses dual processors I'd want to get two, and that would be really expensive.
So I was thinking about getting a graphics card. Right now I don't have a separate graphics card for my laptop (I'm fairly certain) so I was wondering what kind of things I'd have to consider before buying one.
For one, would this help my problem? I currently have 4Gb of RAM, and I saw a $70 graphics card with 256Mb. Would that help?
Second of all, what comes with getting a new graphics card, if it is possible to put one in a laptop like mine, will there be any compatibility issues? Will I have to consider my model when I buy one or can I just get any old one?
