Greetings all.....

Yep, you guessed it...another newbie. I spent the better part of October in Patong so I'm not exactly new to the area, and I've been reading the posts and threads for the past three months so I'm not really new to the forum. Hopefully I will not ask all the usual newbie questions. Armed with the information you all have provided I had an excellent time on my first trip and want to thank you one and all for the tidbits.

I did however make one "mistake" (if you can call it that) and fell in love with a bg :bangin: . I will be back again in Feb./March to see her again and think at this point I should be able to tell if she is playing me or is serious. I am in Iraq (the anti-LOS) and this is NOT the place to have my mind drifting and to be obsessed with this girl :mad2:

I really look forward to meeting whomever is around in Feb and March and toss back a few (I'm very curious to try this "black death"). Maybe I can learn at the "feet of the masters" how to "read" a bg..... if that is even possible.

Classic mistake, MF. But one that nearly all of us have made, many more than once. I 've been bitten by the love bug over there about 5 times. Once really serious. As I now look back, a little older, a little wiser(maybe), I count myself as being very lucky that things didn't pan out. Knowing what I now know, I realize that 3 were playing me for a sucker, and with the other two there would have been major compatability problems. The two best ones, including the one I was with in April/May, had real potential, and good hearts, but I didn't fall in love with them! Isn't that the way life is?

Even knowing all I know, and planning in the future to be a confirmed butterfly for the rest of my life, I am still aware that I am immune-deficient when it comes that strange ailment known as love, and I catch the love bug easier than most people catch colds.

So, as there are many who will tell you that you are an idiot or a fool for falling in love with a prostitute, I am not one of them. When I am sitting in my theater seat, watching the show, I am always rooting for the lovebirds to overcome all the obstacles that the human drama of existence puts in the path of their relationship and I feel good when they have the happy ending. So this is what I hope for you, too, alhthough it seems a good bit tougher in real life to find that happiness together than for the people in the movies.

BTW if you saw my post on favorite vacation destinations you will notice that at the end of the list it says: Last Place - Iraq. Good luck. You need it. Don't space out thinking about a girl, when you ought to be thinking about saving your own neck. Whatever you are doing over there, I hope you can get the job done! :thumbsup:

JayBee, I am no youngster and have been aournd the block a few times. But even having read all the advice posted here prior to my first trip, NOTHING prepared me for Thai girls!!! These wonderful creatures are like nothing I have ever experienced. It will keep me coming back for years, if not relocate to LOS. Back to this BG I met. I am hoping my next face to face meeting in Feb. will tell me much, unless she is in line for the next academy award. I am already suspect of her emails. Is she writing them or someone else...am I getting the a standard form email?....the usual stuff. She tells me she is home now taking care of family. Is she really? Who knows. I suppose I could send someone over to her bar and check. But do I really want to know?

Your comments on Thai girls are well-spoken! My reaction when first I went to LOS was exactly the same as yours. Wonderful creatures, indeed. Coming from a Western culture, where women try so hard to be just like men, and don't give much thaought anymore to how that affects the men in their lives, it is amazing to find these beautiful, soft, warm, feminine, fragrant darlings that KNOW how to make a man feel 100% like man again! It is a rebirth of the male spirit inside a man, sometimes to a degree that he had for got he ever felt, or had consigned to a bygone era as a thing of the past.

Cynical as some BMs may be, HEY, we still love 'em!!!! Why do think we keep coming back? It ain't for the Mekong and the Singha!

Having said all of that, I must add one more thing: there are also more Academy Award caliber actresses in that country than perhaps in the rest of the whole world combined!!

But I will always remember the words of a poet that I read when I was just a teen and suffered my first heartbreak: "Tis better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all." Those words were precious little consolation at the time, but as I look back, I can honestly say that for all the times I had my heart broken and all the times I felt a fool, I have no regrets and wouldn't change a thing, and cherish the memories of the intense passions felt and shared, regardless of what the final outcome was. And I look forward to the next time, although, of course, I hope the outcome is better. And if that doesn't brand me as a fool, I don't know what could! But hope springs eternal in the human breast, and hope is like air, I could not live without it!

You must follow your fate, and in doing so, you will find the ending or the beginning of the story. Just keep both eyes and both ears wide open along the way. Don't ignore the signposts. If you find yourself always feeling that you have to give her the benefit of the doubt, if things she tells you don't add up, if you catch her in lies, and find yourself making up excuses to yourself for her behavior, well....then you must face the facts.

Give love a chance, and maybe it will give you a chance. Just be realistic, and don't get hung up on a fantasy.

And remember, if it doesn't pan out with her, there are thousands of others waiting for you with open arms and tender kisses, who can make you feel just as good as she does!!

your first tour love may not be there for you next tour but you will always find another love on the next tour.
for me i always find a great bar girl for that tour but even if i arrange to meet them the next tour it never works out.
she has either found someone the following week after i leave or someone is sending her money and she see's them.

for me i may e mail them but never go down the route of sending money.

you should only have a serious tg girlfriend if you live in thailand.
to try to do it before it has to many problems and doubts.

as said before. say what bar she works in and there will be a fair few bm's ready to say hello at christmas especially as it's in soi eric.

dont hire a detective,whats the point,it sounds to me like your already having doubts and that is the end of the line,9 times out of 10 if some1 is having doubts they normally turn out to be correct.
many people here no i am very fond of a particular bg,i spend a lot of time with her,but still get to squeeze in fun.she is a good girl and tells me she doesnt go with anyone else,i dont send her money,i have sent her flowers on 2 occasions,other than that i email and talk to her on the fone.do i think she is telling the truth about not going with men?no i dont,but i dont dwell on it.i wouldnt bring her over here,i would rather move there,but i cannot see it happening for a long while,so i am quite content to see her when i am there and speak to her regularly.she gets paid for being a cashier,but i no she needs more money than that to live her life,so where is she getting the money??i dont no,and to be honest dont care.i am good to her when i see her,she never charges me,buys me gifts all the time but i insist on giving her money.i never once paid for a night of passion in 3 weeks on my last tour,but when i left i gave her 25k,too much or to little i dont no,but she made me happy so i didnt mind.

i always here about guys falling in love with a bg and then her playing him for a sucker. do you guys ever fall into another situation where shes not playing you for a sucker but that she gets too attached. im in that now
