I met a friend for coffee and we talked about this and that and the subject of massage came up. She and her husband both fancy themselves as amateur masseurs and she told me about a method her husband had found, based on reflexology, involving firm, slow massaging of the feet with a hairbrush. I guess it's a bit like those shoes with the raised bumps in the sole.
She said that the bristles are able to really get into the muscles and that it is most invigorating. Told me I should get my boyfriend to do it to me.
I can't help but wonder if I won't just climb up the wall though. I didn't hear her use the word 'excruciating' but I would have thought someone running a hairbrush up and down the soles of your feet would have most people offering up their deepest secrets!
What do you think? Have you heard of this or tried it? Would my boyfriend need armour plating to undertake this assignment or have I judged this wrong?
