Hangout Bars in Patong ??? Suggestions...!

Would love to hear of your recommendations on chilled out bars / massageplanetes etc in phuket..... just to relax & hang about .... ???

kangaroo/ shipwreck/ octopus on banlga are all good 'hangout' day bars imo.

tipsy prawn on the beach is a good spot to watch the sun go down over the ocean with a coldie in hand.

divers bar in surin is also a nice spot.

joes downstairs overlooks kalim bay is pretty nice.

sure there are plenty more options, this is just a few of my favs.

Once out of Patong main strip many of the bars only survive long term because of the demographic of long stayers and expats who do hang out rather than 'herro handsome man' etc...

Many along Nanai for people watching, Offshore, Dons, Dirty nellies, 50 baht bar (now 60 I think) etc etc.. Bars where you can often get into those kind of long rambling multi person debates on putting the world to rights and holding forth.

Octopus in Soi Seadragon is great imo.

The girls never pester you to buy them drinks, great owners.

I think Diver left the beach 4-5 years ago.... Still Surin is the coolest beach IMO.

I found the Moon bar a nice spot to sit and relax. I did that in there, mind you sitting alone only lasted 15 minutes, then had a cute body beside me. But before when I was not mongering it was a good spot and popcorn (the gay guy) is quite good fun.
Also if there check out the ass on Pae. Especially if she has the scoolgirl outfit on.

Try the Dolphin bar around the corner from the Patong Merlin off beach road.

Great spot for day drinks.

Yeah.. Dolphin and blue coral all good places.. Think Leks working back in Dolphin and shes always a top laugh, known that girl about 7 or 8 years and am stunned shes not shacked up and on a pension.

Dolphin Bar & Ocean View Bar both have wi-fi (free for customers) as does Aussie Bar, Kangaroo Bar, and a host of others.
