have chat rooms became a thing of the past?

i have not been on one for over 3 yrs..my bf don't like it when i do..well tonight he is off with friends at hooters to a wet t shirt contest..i am ok with it..was going to settle down and do a bit of chatting..but when i went there..there was only 7 people chatting ..when they use to be over a 100
it was a married and bored site..what they was talking about was waiting in line at walmart and how they don't have enought lines open..lol
mine was talk city.it free and still open..just hardly any one there..

I don't think that chat rooms are a thing of the past. You can always try a different chat room.

they are a thing of the past simply because they can not control Peadophilia. No company wants that hanging over their head. And its understandable as anyone u talk to on the internet can be misrepresenting themselves.

I haven't been on one in many years too. I used to really enjoy them and then my computer broke down and I never tried to get on another chat room since. I don't even know how to find one anymore. They should be a bunch out there but I think some you have to pay or join or something. Hope you find a better one than the Walmart line one. hehehe
