Have you done Susanne Enzer course ?

Hi!

There has been much discussion about maternity reflexology courses, especially Susanne Enzer. I am thinking about attending one of Susanne's courses, but just wondering, as there are 4 case studies of 5 treatments each to complete, is it ok for these to be paying, commercial clients rather than just friends and family? I'm thinking that even at a reduced rate for being a case study, this would go some way to covering the cost of the course!

I did the Suzanne Enzer course last June and have been doing pregnant ladies ever since. You have the same question that i had and i asked Suzanne if it was OK to be charging and she said yes because you are a Reflexologist.
However, i did not feel comfortable doing this and decided not to charge as i felt i was in training. Also i wanted to encourage my case studies to have as many treatments as possible to see what how Reflexology could help them.
I found my rewards were not monetary but wonderful positive results when two of my ladies had short labours without drugs. I had 3 ladies who were pregnant and none of them went overdue. One of these ladies was a friend of mine and she knew of 2 other pregnant women who i didn't know.
At the end of the the case studies i was pleasantly surprised when all of my case studies gave me gifts of foot scrub, vouchers, jewellry, flowers, honey, oils and so on. This i did not expect because they were helping me out by letting me work on their feet and giving up their time.

Thank you for your reply! That sounds very positive and makes me feel more excited about going on the course! I'm not sure if I would charge or not, but it is an option. It's great to hear how much you were appreciated and that must have been very rewarding!

Can I ask another question please?! You say you did the course last June. As you have done all your case studies, I assume that was June last year. As I understand it, there are two weekends, at least 6 months apart, then I think I read something about having up to a year to complete various assignments, assessments, etc. Once you have completed the second weekend, are you then in a position to take on "real" pregnant clients. How soon did you have the whole course completed and when were you able to confidently accept pregnant clients?
