Have you had problems introducing the bottle to your baby?

My 4 month old son is exclusively breastfed but Christmas is coming!! For the first time since he was born (and before), we're finally going to be with family and I know I'm going to want to drink and let loose a little. Of course I've been pumping and I've been trying to get him to drink from a bottle but he's not having it. He doesn't cry or anything. He just refuses to drink from it. I even tried from a little cup cause I read some babies might prefer that but that didn't work either. Any ideas on how to get him to occasionally drink from a bottle? He drank from a bottle for 3 weeks when he was 1 month old because I THOUGHT I had a milk supply problem but that was it. I'm also going to be traveling overseas in a month. It's going to be a 24 hour trip and I can't garantee that I'll be able to breastfeed him whenever he's hungry so I'm going to bring formula with me J*U*S*T in case.

hi there. this is not ME answering BUT my mum says when she had me i NEVER ever took to bottle at all. i hated it. when i was born i was in intensive care but some how i would not take to the bottle after that. my mum tried everything. in the end she used this bottle top called LuKA. thats its name. i think you can order them from boots. my mum says also she had to try her not feeding me and giveing me to someone else to feed me. this helped as i did not crave my mums breast so much when i was with her.
