The medical massage therapy program at Hopkinsville Community College will host an open house Wednesday.
HCC officials say current massage therapy students will be providing complimentary chair massages to visitors from 10:00 until noon Wednesday and 2:00 until 4:00 p.m, on a first-come, first-serve basis. HCC Allied Health Director Dr. Beth Beverly says research has shown that even five minutes of effective massage can help reduce issues such as stress, anxiety, headaches, muscle aches, and generalized pain.
The 30 credit hour massage therapy certificate program, consists of both online and in-classroom courses. HCC officials note students are able to complete the program requirements in as few as two semesters.
The open house will be in the new Emerging Technologies Building, 2nd level.
