turned mine on? So we're coworkers and he Skyped me to ask something. On skype, he turned his camera on the first time that he called. Mine was off.
Then later he called me again and his camera was on again. Mine was still off, I didn't turn it on. then he turned his off.
Was he expecting me to turn it on or something?

Who cares what he "expects"? You use your cam if you want to. End of story.

I don't think he was really "expecting" anything, nor do I think it was childish of him to turn his off. He was just deciding what was appropriate for this type of work conversation with this particular co-worker... he probably uses it with other co-workers but decided that since you weren't using yours, it would be appropriate for him to not be using his. That is it, that is all. I think you're reading too much into this, it's really nothing. It's perfectly normal to use video with Skype calls for work, and it is also perfectly normal not to.
