Help finding furniture

I'll be opening up my own office in September and have been searching for some cabinetry for the space (11'x11').    To start I need a hardtop cabinet/table that can support a hydrocollator and/or crockpot and another cabinet to hold sheets etc.    Also I would like a small table/desk and chair to do the business part of things       I've looked at local thrift stores, Walmart, Kmart, PierOne, but haven't found anything appropriate.   The one thing I haven't tried is garage sales.    Any ideas?Thanks!!

Don't know where you're located, but if you have Cost Plus World Market, they have some REALLY cool stuff -- very unique things.  Can be a bit pricey, but worth it for unique stuff.  Just an idea!

I will second IKEA. The shipping can be a little expensive, but you can get some great, stylish stuff for really cheap. And it tends to be decent quality, not "fall apart in 6 months cheap"

Target or http://www.Target.comThe salon where I used to work used some pieces from Target to decorate their waiting area, but some of them would have worked just as well in a treatment room.How about Sam's Club? http://www.samsclub.comGot a Home Goods, TJ Maxx or Marshalls? (They're all owned by the same company. Home Goods used to have a little furniture...but it's hard to say what you would find and when....What about a local furniture store? They might have "scratched" pieces that they'd be willing to part with inexpensively...Do they do "yard sales" out east? Or an estate sale? You might pick up some cool stuff that way... and if you aren't crazy about the color you could always spruce it up with a quick coat of paint.

also try office depot or office max.  they have some really great desks for pretty cheap.  you can also check stores you'd think would have expensive stuff but have clearance sections like art van funiture or other furniture stores.  keep looking and think outside the box when it comes to certain items.  good luck!
