HELP! i'm a newbie sewer and need help with a book i'm making....?

I am making a cloth book for my niece's 1st bday (party is this saturday). Everything is done, except for putting everything together. Fleece is the main fabric I used for the pages, and they are too thick to stack on each other and sew together. I was thinking about using three buttons (like a binder) but I dont think the thread would do well and I'd have to do it by hand. I'd love some suggestions! eskie that is a great idea! unfortunately all the pages are separate lol. unless what you mean is to make a hole in each page and pull the ribbon through. i'd have to attach an eyelet to each page to prevent tears and I dont have the toold for that.
yes drip I figured that out once I was almost done with the project lol I know now!! could you explain to me a little more about your suggestion about the spine?

If you were to do this again you should cut out the fabric so one rectangle is two pages and then you lay them down and sew down the middle to make the book. Not each page separately.
An eyelet tool is not that much money to buy.
the only other thing I can come up with. Is make a big spine out of fleece or cotton with interface. And sew each page down separately. The pages would not line up. you would have to stagger them to the right and left of center.

How about attaching a ribbon around the outside and then making a beautiful bow to hold it together at the pages? What a special heirloom gift!
