Hi everyone,
Please excuse my posting here as a patient, not a practicioner -- but I can't figure out where else to go online for help. Here's my dilemma:
I started feeling back pain and decided to get a massage -- about a week or so after the pain appeared and it had almost gone away -- after the first massage I felt great until the next day. For the next week I felt a deep, piercing pain in my lower back and decided to go back to the therapist. He explained that this may or may not be a problem, its a nerve pain which happens after the lactic acids are broken up, and it should go away within a couple more sessions. He also recommended some stretches. After this second session I'm hurting even more and wondering if I should go back for another session...is this normal?? I thought massage relieved pain, rather than causing it.
I'm in Argentina and maybe massage therapists do things a little differently here...
Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm 27 years old, if that helps with the diagnosis.
