I currently have one, male, guinea pig - Peanut. I'm not sure how old he is, he was small when I got him and he has grown quite a bit since April. I'd guess 6 months? Anyway, I'll be adopting two more from a family that can no longer care for theirs. Those two have been living together and are both male and one year old.
After doing a lot of research, I'm going to see how it works out. I know for some guinea pigs, they get along and some do not, but I know my Peanut would probably like having some piggy friends.
I'm wondering the best way to go about introducing them. I know the basics but I'd like to get an idea of how those who have done it before introduced their male guinea pigs. I understand they may fight and never get along, but I'm really hoping for the best.
Advice?
The other two piggies will have their own cage, I assume it'd be best to keep it that way since my guinea pig, Peanut, has his own also. Right? The cage I have for Peanut is only big enough for him, but I don't think putting all three together unless they REALLY get along would be a good idea also, right?
