Help with designing portfolio for business clients

Hi all!!I am still in school and have to write a business plan.  I wanted to incorporate a portfolio that I would be bringing to companies to offer chair massage to as part of my business plan.  I have a couple questions though...what do you put in a portfolio beside maybe a brochure on benefits of chair massage and some business cards?  Does anyone know of a free brochure maker on the internet or how to make a brochure?  If anyone has samples of what they put in their presentation to companies or anything that might help me out, please PM me or reply to this topic.Thanks a bunch!Renee

When I've sent info packets to potential chair clients (companies), I include a brochure of how chair massage would be helpful to their employees and the company (employee morale, etc), another brochure about my practice, business cards, a sample sign-up sheet to show how easy it is to set up, make sure to include images of yourself or another therapist providing chair massage in your brochures, and a few coupons for $10 off a table massage, in case they're interested in massage for themselves or their secretaries (2 birds, one stone).Hope this helps!

what do you put in a portfolio...?You sound like someone who's decided they want to write a book and is now trying to figure out what to write about In information architecture, one first figures out what needs to be communicated, and then determines the best way to communicate it. That may or may not be a portfolio.You may want to brainstorm from the other side of the table. Pretend you're the business executive, get a friend to roleplay the MT if that would help you, and think about what kind of information you'd like to see if you were that person.Would you want something you could keep, e.g. price sheets, summaries you could show to your supervisor, a custom proposal tailored to your company, etc?Perhaps you could come up with a packet of info that can be easily reproduced and individual packets left with each prospect.

You sound like someone who's decided they want to write a book and is now trying to figure out what to write about Well, EgoMagickian...not exactly, this was an assigned project in school...not something I am entirely excited about doing, and when I went to my professor with questions and she asked me what I thought I was going to do outside of school, I mentioned chair massage.  She then said to make a portfolio that I would be presenting to companies and include that as part of my business plan.  I was looking for ideas that other massage therapists might have done that brought good results...not an insult, even if you didnt mean it that way, thats how I read it.  Thanks a lot.Renee
