Hemingways Restaurant nr Banzaan Mkt

Lindsay who used to have the Piccadilly Bar in Soi Kepsab is now managing this restaurant so I popped in for dinner with the family to say hello and try the food.

Food (Farang) was good and not expensive at all and Surin said the Thai food was "aroy dee". Very nice sitting outside (under cover) or inside where the place is immaculate, and has a separate bar area.

If you know Lindsay call in and say hello, if not then give the restaurant a try anyway, would be interested in feedback.

Used to do a fairly solid mixed grill.. Tho the Thai got lesser reviews from the missus and partly thats why it didnt become a regular stop..

I know Lindsay quite well as he occasionally drinks in my bar. Unfortunately I haven't had the chance of going to Hemingway's yet. Will try and go there when I get a day off... probably in 2013!

Had the English Breakfast there on Sunday - always decent tho the sausages had slipped to nearer hot dogs which needs to improve.

Have used it a few times ,mainly for a full fry up brunch, and was always happy.The place is clean and tidy with an extra bonus of parking.Must give it another go.:happy:

is it right that piccadilly and next door,simply red are being knocked down to make another stupid family mart or summat?

Already done......there is a large Family Mart where Lindsay's bar, and the one next to it used to be. Went up in record time as well.

Apparently Lindsay has "taken" his darts team along and they play at Hemingways, so lets hope it's a winner for him.

Positive comments so far, and get your Mrs to try the Thai food again LiL as mine is pretty picky, so they might have had on "off" day then.......and hopefully Lindsay has brought about a few changes for the better!!

Used to be that you could buy fish (or crab, lobster, or whatever) at BaanZan Mkt. and bring it to Hemmingways for them to prepare for you as you like. I assume there was a charge for this, and don't know what it is, but I'm wondering if they still offer that service.

I read on Tripadvisor you can do that, they do charge you a fee, not sure how much. Some did comment it was worth the trouble.

According to Lindsay they still offer that service, and he is promoting it to customers. Don't see how they can make much out of it, but that's up to them......as they say!
