Lately I have been hearing a lot of music by new acts that are like this. So I wanted you to hear an old friend that I have seen play in concert several times. One his own, with Crazy Horse and with Crosby, Stills and Nash.
I remember seeing Neil play at a concert sponsored by Miller Beer and he was drinking a Budweiser on the stage. Only Neil Young would be that way, with that attitude.
I think back to a time that he played and wrote most of his early hits through. Buffalo Springfield with Stephen Stills. CSN&Y. It was an incredible time. The sixties. The early 1970s. Johnson, Nixon, and the War in Vietnam that essentially destroyed two Presidents. Nixon getting caught in the Watergate scandal. Lying to the country and resigning in disgrace.
There has been many changes in music. You have music videos with special effects, studio tricks and a dozen dancers moving around a stage like lunatics just released from an asylum. It's nice to see what one person can do with one voice and one acoustic guitar.
Well, kids what do you think?
