i have just completed a higher diploma in complementary therapies, i have passed, but i want to become reflexology therapist, as i live in mid wales there is nowhere to train near me, i am looking for a home study course but there are so many and i want to choose the right one, can anyone advice please

I would check with your insurer first on whether they will insure you if you take a certain course.

Also, voluntary regulation has recently become available (for massage at least) which may in the future include Reflexology and may also become compulsary. I think I read that some correspondence courses may not be covered in these regulations meaning people may have to re-train. I'm not 100% about this so please do some research before taking my word on this.

Might be worth contacting a governing body too like FHT or CThA.

TEACH Therapy runs a lot of courses in Newport (I know it's not mid-Wales) - most are CPD courses but might be worth checking out to see if they do Reflexology.

You cant learn to do a therapy which is hands on through distance learning..... How would you know what you are doing is correct?

Reflexology courses are not that bad to do, I did a day a month for nearly a year with the AOR which is easy to fit in with daily life. I live in Devon and I am in the middle of a maternity shiatsu course in Bristol which is 3x2 days so I know what it is like to travel for courses.... It is do'able

It is worthwhile getting on a course that is accredited at the start especially with regulation looking very likely in the near future.

I trained at The Bath Reflexology Centre which is very easy to get to from Junction 18 of the M4. The course is roughly one weekend a month. Our group had students travelling from Gloucester, Devon, Cheddar as it was the only AoR accredited school in the area at the time. I'd highly recommend it.
