holidays in Thai

Hi to all!
I'm sorry if this is a repost...
I'm programming a 15days holiday in Thailand in January, but reading somewhere on internet, I've seen two great places to have a lot of fun: Patong and Pattaya! which one is better?
I think (looking at some pic and reading here) that Patong is the better one! is it true?

and maybe can u tell me some places where to go and have fun?

Ps. if I'm not asking too much do u know a guesthouse in Patong where I can eventually go with some "friend" :ytounge: ? thanks again...

You have 15 days holiday.... why not do both.... Bangkok for a few nights.... Pattaya for a few nights then on to Phuket.... If you look in the accomodation and transport threads you will ee lots of information aboout Phuket guesthouses and hotels and there is lots of information about pattaya hotels in the pattaya section.... You could get a taxi from Bangkok to Pattaya and then a flight to Phuket from u-tapao airport with bangkok airways and then a flight from Phuket to Bangkok..... Have a read through the lists and then you can make your own mind up

ZIZZU if it is your first time in thailand i would sugest a week in each resort you could have 1 week in Patong then fly to UTAPAO (pattaya) with bangkok airways and spend a week in Patts . as someone who has made 23 visits to los i can tell you that at nightime the 2 resorts are very similar lots of bars and go go bars etc (although the pattaya go go are much more raunchy)

The big diference is in the daytime there is no daytime action in patong unless you arrange it yourself, whereas in Pattaya there are lots of bars and go go bars open from 1pm in the afternoon.

the beaches are better in patong (although jomtien beach in pattaya is good also)

for advice on where to stay just send me a pm and tell me if you need a swimming pool ,or iff you prefer hotels next to the beach or near the nightlife areas and most importantly the price you are prepared to pay per night i can give you address of guesthouse in patong with swim pool near nightlife area for 800 bhat a night in pattaya i can give you 4 differnet places with swimming pools from 600 bhat a night

If you are going for the mongering then I would say go for Pattaya, especially as you are going during the peak season and it is your first visit. Many people prefer Patong in the low season.

If you are definitely coming back to LOS sometime then maybe stay in Pattaya on this occassion and then visit Phuket on another stay. There are several places to stay in Phuket so you could travel over the island.

Something to bear in mind is that Patong will be very crowded and hotels will be charging a premium. Pattaya on the iother hand can handle bigger numbers of people.

Look at the GF (guest Friendly) listing of hotels before you book.
