home, outcall, or suite??
Working from your home is idealy the most cost effective. You save money on rent, and at the same time you can claim the space you use in your home as business expense. However, that space must be totally separate and exclusively used for your business. That said, cost effective is not always best. I have not done massage in my home because I need to be able to leave my job at the office. I want my home to be a sanctuary that I can retreat to and not think about work... as much as I love my job.Outcall can be as expensive as renting space depending on how far you drive to accomodate your clients and what the cost of leasing a space is in your area. However, you won't have to deal with zoning and in some places an outcall permit is less expensive than a massage establishment permit. However, with outcall, you must also consider the wear and tear on your table, and on YOU. And driving is time consuming. You can probably see more clients per day in the office. There's the pros and cons as I see them. Hope it helps.-Melody
