This is my idea for my business:INNER PEACEMassage and Yoga Studio"A Holistic Center for Well Being"             ~Massage~Yoga classes~Meditation groups~Bach Flower Therapy~Life Coaching~A Women's Group ~Small gift shop with books, CD's, massage tools, oils, lotions, essential oils, incense holders, candles, yoga mats, etc.So what do you think? I like the idea of creating a safe, nurturing environment for people to come get a massage, do yoga, meditate, relax, learn, grow, and be surrounded with like minded people. Please give me your honest feedback. It won't hurt my feelings. (well dont be too hard on me ;D)I do appreciate constructive criticism. Thank you! Cassandra/Lotusgirl

That's a good idea.  There are a few massage & yoga studio in Puget Sound.The only recommendations are:- research your target clients' demographic and psychographics- research competitor'r pricing- estimated traffic of your siteGood luck!

Where do I apply?  *Giggle*Sounds good.  You might consider "Women's Passages Groups" or something like that because women are at different points of life.  For example, I wouldn't want to get into a group with young mothers...just because that's not where I am.  Not AGEY groups...just more life passages.Would this be a free-standing so you could have a meditation garden?  *sigh*  Just my wish list showing through there.....Now...work on writing your business plan!Good luck with it!--Jenna

That sounds great.  Just so you know, Inner Peace is the name of a massage linen company and I'm pretty sure they own http://www.innerpeace.com.   The facility and product offering is very well-rounded.  Do you have a timeline yet?  Joe E.

There is a inner peace center here where I live in N.B. Canada.  The man who runs it is a Massage Therapist, reiki master and also runs a yoga studio out of it.  Kind  has the same idea you do, which is a good one  I like the name Blue Lotus too, it's unique and would stand out for you I think.  Good luck!

I just want to say: THANKS EVERYBODY! for the tons of good advice I get on this board... You guys are why this forum rocks! I've been playing around with my business plan -making little changes- and it keeps getting closer to feeling "just right". I want to make sure the day I open the doors that it's really how I want it. Jill/Sage, I'm not really set on the name, but I think Blue Lotus or Inner Peace both work nicely.Jenna58, For the Women's Group what I had in mind was one group for women of all ages, the main focus being self-acceptance/self-love. I like your idea too. Maybe I could list a bunch of different ideas and ask women which ones they would be interested in and have a couple groups. A meditation garden sounds divine.Joe E, Yep...you're right, turns out "Innerpeace" is a sheet company for massage tables. However, they use it as one word. So, maybe "Inner Peace" (2 words) might still be usable if no-one has it copyrighted or anything. Not sure. Oh, and no timeline yet but that's probably a really good idea. Thanks Katykangaroo. (cute name) That's kind of how I got the idea. I آ closed my eyes and was like OK, imagine the type of massage and yoga place that YOU would like to go to... Because if I make it a caring, nurturing space that makes me feel good, I think that will show and other people will feel good there as well. Plus, right now there really isn't any places like that around here. Well there are some  places with massage and yoga but not really with that kind of holistic well-being/spiritual vibe that I'm looking for.Cassandra/Lotusgirl

I wished I lived on the East Coast so I could visit your business. It sounds incredible and I'm sure you will do very well. And I say again I do love that Blue Lotus in your name, I think you should build on that.When do you think you will open this center?

Hi lotusgirl,I really like the "simplicity" in which you described what your practice is.  It says a lot with few words or descriptions.  It conveys the idea of a sanctuary.  One thing I would like to say about the name and share some insight a friend imparted is that of creating an identity - you know like corporations do (golden arches, the swoosh, CK etc.).The idea of the Blue Lotus has a lot of potential and it also lends very well to what you are offering.  Maybe using inner peace in the caption on your business say " A Holistic Center for Well Being and Inner Peace" might work..... just a thought  Wishing you much success,/KaiMT
