Hot towel cabi

I just received my hot towel cabi (small one) and the instructions have me a bit confused.

It talks about how to put the towels in wet before turning on, but says to insert them in a 'special plastic bag' and to 'use heat resistant bags only', well duh. hee hee.... So what bags are they talking about??? Anyone here have any ideas??? I was under the impression you soaked your towels, wrung them out and the cabi just kept them warm..... If that isn't the case, can anyone give me a lesson on using this contraption???

Just love new toys, but hate it when they don't explain everything you need and when you get it, you have to wait to use the darn thing.... sigh...

I would imagine they're those individually wrapped towel bags that they hand out with tongs before/after meals/seafood/planes (back in the old days). I think it would be safe to use it without them, though I would check with the supplier if it affects the product warranty if you heat towels without the bags.

Directions: Roll up towels, wet, squeeze water out, place in heater.

Have you just got an on/off switch, or temperature variations? Is there a UV light switch too?

About the only trick I know is when not in use (heater off, no towels in it), wedge the door slightly open so it doesn't get musty.

The cabi does have a UV light. As far as the switch, just an on/off, no temp. Had to watch my budget for now....I could have saved a lot more and got one without the UV, but I just feel better having that feature.

So I guess I have to 'force' my hubby onto the table this weekend to play with the various options to use hot towels with... poor thing... such a tough job, but someone HAS to do it! ha ha.... Actually he is the most wonderful, supportive guy about my career change. I was in IT when I met him! ha ha... He does love the fringe benefits of having an MT in the house! ha ha...
