how can i introduce my 12 week old kitten to my mum and dads dog who

stays with us sometimes? I have just got a kitten (about 4 weeks ago) and my mum and dads labradour sometimes comes to stay when they go on hols. We tried to introduce them the other day and i held the kitten whilst my mum had the dog on the lead but she hissed at him and he just got a bit scared!! He would never hurt her as he is ultra soppy, he also gets very jealous of anything i am holding (ie babies or kitten) I really need some advice on how to introduce them and what to do about sleeping arrangments!! etc. Thank you!

Sorry to say but it wont work, i tried to intraduce my kitten to my puppy and the kitten smacked my puppy, then the puppy would cry :'(

Then my cat ran away because she was feeling left out...

Go........." Cat meet Dog...and Dog meet Cat " lol..

This will take time. try keeping them separate for now until they see eachother more. The more you hold your cat, and the more you hold your mom's dog...the more they get used to the scent..and develop comfort.

I had a friend who had a toy resembling a mouse. He would wind it and have both his dog and cat chase it. That thought them how to play together and get along.

you should have them in the same room together for a while (whilst you're in there too) and just get them used to each other, if they don't get along then you should maybe have them in separate rooms to sleep in. but i'm sure if she's just a kitten she'll get used to him
