How can I save my Facebook chat messages to my inbox?

My friend's account doesn't save her messages to her inbox, but mine does. She was wanting to know how. On mine it was automatic but I have no idea how to fix her's so it will do it. :/
 
My brother and I had the same issue, then his account got updated to the new chat. Even now, he can't see some of the new features I can see (the ones Facebook rolled out last week, like video chat and such)
Like you, mine was automatic. Although, it would be good to note that mine doesn't work flawlessly when going between the mobile app and the web client chat. The mobile app has huge gaps in chat sometimes that don't show up in my message inbox.
