How come females never IM males in chat rooms?

When I go to a chat room to cyber, I wait a while for someone to IM me while I surf the web. Every single time I receive a message from someone in the chat rooms, its always some creepy 40 year old men! Theres hot chicks in the rooms too. Why dont they ever IM me? I rather not have to go through the list of names to send someone a message and would want to wait for someone to send a message to me. Its never the hot chicks sending people messages. Its always the ugly loser 40 year old men. Why do males always IM people in the chat rooms but females never IM anyone in the chat rooms?

The problem isnt that the females arent in the chat rooms. The problem is that the females never IM me. Its always a 40 year old man IMing people.
I use various names for my Yahoo id and no matter what the name is whether its a males name, females name, unisex name, or an id no gender, the outcome is always the same. Why is this?
