How did you introduce your dog(s) to the baby?

This is a re post of a question. I asked in the dog section, but I ended up deleting it, as they were.... well rude to say the least.
My boyfriend & I have an 2 year old lab-mix, Camera (yeah I know weird name, it's a long story). Camera has been around kids a lot. Including newborns. He LOVES kids, but I'm a bit worried because he can be quite hyper at times, he does behave well though.If we tell him to sit, he will sit down immediately, ext. I'm just wondering how did you introduce your dog(s) to the baby? After I have the baby, my boyfriend is going to bring something home that has her scent on it, so Camera will know her scent.
When we get home from the hospital though, I don't know if we should sit him down & show the baby to him, or just bring her in & just let him adjust his own way? What did you do? I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, I just want to know what other moms did. Thanks! =)
BQ- What was your due date & when did you actually have the baby? My due date was February 27th, & no baby yet. hopefully she will come out soon.
Coolazme- I know my dog, like I said in my question:Camera has been around kids a lot. Including newborns. He LOVES kids. I wouldn't have my daughter around a mean dog. There's no way. If for some reason Camera & the baby don't get along, he will be gone in an heartbeat(my SO's brother has a farm, Camera would go there).
