Explain the scene and explain what the character is doing. Then explain what it likes to do, and what its wearing. When another character comes in scene do same thing. Read best-seller books.

Is the Narrator the main character or a character in your story? You need to decide that before even thinking about a rough draft.

If so, think about the character of your story, develop them in a way where you ask, how would this character introduce the story? Consider their personality, are they arrogant? Polite? Smart? Evil? Impatient? Spiritual? Also consider what the story means to that person, does it impact them deeply? Are they ashamed? Are they speaking in retrospect?

If not, narrate the story in the way you're most comfortable since you do not have to worry about characteristics of the narrator.
